Wax Facts & Usage Tips

We list below some of the most common things you can do to get the best results from your candles and wax melts, how to use them safely, and some wax facts.

Candles

  • All our candles are 100% pure soy wax sourced from only USA grown crops.

  • Pure soy wax is one of the cleanest burning waxes available for candles.

  • Burn your candles in 4 hour increments. Your melt pool should reach the edge of the jar and be approximately 1/4" deep after 4 hrs

  • Choose the right size candle for the area. Smaller candles are good for bathrooms and med-small bedrooms. Larger candles are best for larger rooms and more open spaces.

  • Always trim your wick to 1/4" before lighting each time.  Not trimming will result in a hotter flame which will decrease the overall performance of the candle and can cause soot.

  • Allowing the candle to cool and "re-cure" for a few days between each burn will give the best scent release.

  • Always read & follow the safety guidelines on the warning sticker, usually located on the bottom of the candle.

  • Never burn a candle with less than 1/4" of wax in the bottom. This can cause the jar to overheat and break.

  • Never burn a candle unattended or while sleeping.

  • All our fragrance oils are considered to be clean scents. They are phthalate free and contain no known carcinogens as required under California PROP-65.

Wax Melts

  • All our wax melts are highly scented for long life.

  • Never use your wax warmer with less than 1/4" of wax in the dish.

  • Consider purchasing reusable silicone liners to use with your warmer. This makes it easy and mess free to switch between scents from day to day and easily remove used wax.

  • Allowing the wax to cool and "re-cure" for a few days in between each use will give you considerably longer scent life than burning the same wax for multiple, consecutive days.

  • Always read and follow the safety labels on your wax melt container. These are usually located inside the lid or on the bottom of the container.

  • Always read and follow the safety guidelines included with your wax warmer.

  • If your wax doesn't melt completely or the scent seems to be weak, check the wattage of your bulb. Our melts work best with 25watt bulbs or tea light warmers.

  • Always allow the wax to cool completely before disposing.

  • Never use your warmer unattended or while sleeping.
